Judith Forbis wins the
2004 John W. Galbreath Award
for Outstanding Entrepreneurship
in the Equine Industry.

History was made when this coveted
award was presented, for the first time,
to a woman, and for the first time, to a
breeder of Arabian horses.

 

The John W. Galbreath Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship in the Equine Industry
has been presented each year since 1990 to one individual whose success within the industry
has been due to the utilization of uncommon abilities or innovative approaches to business management. 
Each recipient has had a positive impact on the equine industry because of his entrepreneurship and has
gained widespread respect for it.  This award is one of the most prestigious in the equine industry, worldwide.

Don and Judi Forbis celebrate their 45th anniversary
with friends at the
Egyptian Event.  They are going
for the gold in 2008!

 

Don and Judi accept the Arabian Horse Trust
Hall of Fame award honoring *Ansata Ibn Halima
as one of the great Arabian horses of all time.

The Ellen Scripps Davis Memorial Breeders Award
which recognizes an individual (or individuals) who consistently breed outstanding horses,
also came to the Forbises on the night as the first Arabian breeders to receive this honor.


 

David O'Conner, president of the U.S. Equestrian Federation commenting on this award said, "Greatness is in our midst this evening. 
There is no doubt that our award
winners possess talent, determination and
the capacity for plain hard work. But in
addition, they possess that special
something..... that rare combination of talent,
luck and timing that has allowed them to
achieve things that most only dream about."

awarded at the Al Khamsa annual meeting and banquet in Denver, Colorado, August 7, 2004.

 

Arabian Breeders Association
Lifetime Breeder's Award 2002

to Donald and Judith Forbis.This award was
presented at the 2003 U.S. National Arabian
Horse Show, together with the 2003 winner,
Bazy Tankersley, one of Judith Forbis's
early mentors and friends.   

The Forbises helped reawaken the western and the Arab world to the joy of the
Egyptian Arabian horse. They dreamed, and made their dreams
